Chandos Leigh, in France to Hon. Mrs. [Julia Judith] Leigh, Leamington Spa: Copies letter had received from Lord Breadalbane re his claim to title; Lord Holland will do what he can: Chandos is resolved, if unsuccessful "to give myself no further trouble with politics". Comments upon Harry's [William Henry] progress at Harrow. Re staff including valet 'Phillips'. Decision re carpets can wait until they come home. Attached is cutting from paper re rumour of Chandos Leigh's promotion to the peerage.
