Description

[William Henry] Leigh to [Henry] Donne. Says they must have machinery at the brick yard - he will give £450 from his private account to buy it "it would be penny wise and pound foolish not to have steam". Refers to the Sanitary Act - its intention "is unquestionably that people should not be allowed to poison rivers .... and thereby endanger the health of the public". Says he will advance £5 towards an apprenticeship for Busby.
