Enrolled copies from Common Pleas re abduction by Baldwin Heath, gent. Elizabeth Heath, widow of John Archer's ward, Daniel Heath, age 13. son heir of William Heath, who had been tenant of Archer in 100ac land and 40ac meadow by military service. Claims 100 marks in damages. Baldwin Elizabeth counterclaim that Archer had no right to wardship of Daniel as William held from the Crown by knight service and paid Archer 6s p.a. for all services. Elizabeth was widow and rightful guardian of Daniel her son. Judgement for Archer. Michaelmas 8 Henry VIII [Oct 1516]
