Miscellaneous documents': nineteen volumes created in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by mounting, guarding and binding up a large collection of hitherto loose items: comprises wills, inventories, accounts, letters, legal papers and much other material, mostly derived from the activities of the 'unreformed' Stratford Corporation but including some earlier material relating to the Gild of the Holy Cross and a few items post-dating the Municipal Corporations Act of 1835. Please check individual entries, as some items are closed for conservation reasons, but microfilm surrogates are provided in such cases.
