Account of Thomas Balsale, Master of the Guild of the Holy Cross, the Blessed Mary the Virgin, and St. John the Baptist, from Monday next after the Feast of the Translation of St. Thomas the Martyr, 3 Edward IV., to Monday next after the same Feast, 4 Edward IV There is only one marginal heading to this Account, namely, "Receipt of moneys" [Arrears] [Fines.] (8s 4d received from Cristina Bedull; the fines of Robert Mason, Chaplain (6s 8d), and the soul of Master John Brynke (3s 4d); a legacy of 10d to the Altar of the Blessed Mary the Virgin; 5s received for the soul of Elizabeth Plummer; 12d received for the light with divers "torches" at the obsequies and mass of John Dale; 20d a legacy from John Dale; 6d received for the light with divers torches, at the funeral of Thomas Trewman; 10d a legacy from Thomas Trewman to the Altars of the Blessed Mary and St. John the Baptist; the fines of William Bedull, of Grymescote, in the parish of Whitchurch (13s 4d); John Shaw, of the parish of Solyhull (13s 4d); Richard Smyth, of Stratford, and Elizabeth his wife (13s 4d); the soul of John Gowper, late deceased, the son of William Cowper, Senior, of Stratford, late deceased (6s 8d), and the soul of Walter Wyllys; a ring of gold, price 2s, "and so the aforesaid ring was delivered to Reginald Flecher") Receipt of moneys, Rents and arrears.
