Description

Conveyance from James Hirons of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, and William Featherstone of the same, innholder (devisees in trust under the will of Stephen Mumford), with the consent of William Edwards of Stratford-upon-Avon, cordwainer, to Richard Lord of the same, cordwainer, (reciting DR316/22, and that William Edwards had contracted to purchase the property for £60) for £60 (£20 paid by William Edwards, and £40 by Richard Lord) of a cottage, formerly two tenements, in Ely Street, late in the tenure of John Read and since of Stephen Mumford, deceased, bounded on the west by a messuage late of Christopher Smith, clerk, deceased, since of ---- Smith his widow, and now of John Broom, and on the east by four cottages lately held by Joseph Hunt, gentleman, on lease from the Corporation of Stratford-upon-Avon, and now by Samuel Jarvis. Proviso for redemption by William Edwards on the payment of £40 to Richard Lord.
