Conveyance by lease and release from John Gruby of Stratford-upon-Avon, ironmonger, to Elizabeth Whitehead of the same, widow, for £360, of a messuage in High Street now in the occupation of the said Elizabeth Whitehead, bounded on the south by a messuage once in the tenure of Joseph Gibbs, then of Charles Pestell and now of John Tasker, and on the north by a messuage once in the tenure of Abel Payton, then of Benjamin Burbridge and now of the said John Gruby, and which messuage was purchased by the said John Gruby from Elizabeth Hitchcox [DR274/1/vi]; also a small piece of garden once in the tenure of John Meacham, then of Charles Pestell and now of the said Elizabeth Whitehead, bounded on the south by premises belonging to Charles Taylor, on the west by part of a garden belonging to the Corporation of the borough of Stratford-upon-Avon, on the north by part of a garden belonging to and occupied by John Tasker; with an equal right to the well as described in DR274/1/vii.
