Description

Charter of Henry, king of England, lord of Ireland, duke of Normandy and Aquitaine and count of Anjou, granting to Stephen de Segrave a market at his manor of Brinkelawe, to be held weekly on Tuesday, unless this should be to the injury of neighbouring markets. Witnesses: Hugh de Vinon', Geoffrey `Dispensario', John son of Geoffrey, John de Plesset', Geoffrey de Cauz, Robert de Mucegros and others. Dated at Wudestok', 1 May 24 [Henry III] Seal on cord of woven silk: a fine impression of the obverse of the great seal of Henry III, slightly damaged around the edge. Also exhibited is a cast of the reverse.
