Description

Gift with warranty from Richard de Walton' of Covintr' to Sir Geoffrey de Langel', of a messuage in Covintr' in `vico comitis' [Earl Street] between the house of William Sley and the house formerly of Stephen Vache; to hold the same rendering annually to the church of St. Michael, Covintr' sixpence or a pound of frankincense at Christmas; and for this the said Geoffrey gives one mark of silver. Witnesses: Anketill' de Wikewan', Philip de Winchecumb', Pagan Pak', Walter Blund, of Covintr', Alexander de Glov' of the same, William le Poleter of the same, Geoffrey de Wilenhal', William de Pinnel', Ranulf Caus and others.
