Kenilworth deeds and papers. letters patent

Description

Letters patent of Edward [II] addressed to William de Herle, Robert de Stoke and John de Heyford, ordering them to hold an inquisition to determine whether or not the free tenents of Stonlegh', Kenillewerth' and Asshesho [Ashow] should have common of pasture for all their animals and pannage (porcarias) in a wood called le Fryth' in Kenilleworth', now in the king's hand through the forfeiture of Thomas earl of Lancaster, of which they claim they were deprived by the said earl Thomas.

Dated, 18 May 15 [Edward II].
