Copy of court roll of the manor of Calowdon' at the court held there on Tuesday next after the feast of St. Dunstan the Bishop, 21 Henry VI, recording the entry of John Toly, Marian his wife, and John and Joan their children into a cottage, garden and croft in Stichale, lately in the tenure of John Bidell'; to hold for term of their lives paying a yearly rent of 4 shillings to the Duke of Norfolk, heriot according to the custom of the manor and suit of court twice a year. Witness: Thomas Boughton', esq. steward of the Duke of Norfolk. Seal missing, tongue and tie torn away. Endorsed: Calwedone. Lord Barkly [AG]
