Description

Quitclaim from William de Halys of Coventr' with the assent of Agnes his wife to Henry called the Baker (Pistori) of Coventr' of all his right in 6 pence annual rent issuing from the house of Walter de Hibern' without `barram episcopi' [Bishop's Gate] in Coventry which is between the lane leading towards the mill of Hulle and the land of John Tole; and for this the said Henry gives 6 shillings of silver. Witnesses: Robert de Stoke, steward, Robert de Cilton', William le Parkere, Thomas le Mowbrey, John Tole, John Pyhot, Walter le Coupere, Richard Mynnyht and many others. Dated at Coventr': Thursday next after the feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, 21 Edward I. Two seals on tags: i) a pointed oval, green. A foliated cross. Legend: S.
