Description

Lease from Robert Grene gent., to Christopher Wade of Coventr' mercer, for 12 pounds, of a messuage or tenement called `the olde george' situate in Erlestrete in Coventr', in the occupation of Agnes Bromley widow, of the yearly rent of 40 shillings; to hold the same for six years from Christmas last past without anything to be paid during the said term; and the lessor covenants to maintain the said messuage during the said term provided the said Christopher should not expel the said Agnes Bromley out of the said messuage, and that if the said rent should not be paid that it should be lawful for the said Christopher to distrain upon the lessor's hereditaments in Rokebe [Rugby].
