Statement of a claim made in the Court of the City of Coventr', held on 13 October, 14 Elizabeth, in the presence of Richard Barker late mayor of Coventr', and Richard Over and John Miles, late bailiffs of the same, by Arthur Gregory, gent., against Richard Mundy upon a plea of fraud and unlawful detention of a gelding alleged to belong to the said Arthur. Endorsed: betwixt me and the Bailiff of Cheilesmore who wrongfully distrened me for sute reall to Cheillesmore Lete when I was resident within the Bishop of Chester his Leet in Styvechale which I have by purchas from Mr. Fisher who purchased the Leet of the Bishop.
