Description

Lease with warranty from Agnes daughter of Roger Dayseye of Coventr' to Thomas de Wyshawe of Coventr' of half a virgate in a portionable (participabile) meadow in le Hem meadowe in Styvechale, to be taken annually as others in the neighbourhood take it; to hold for the lifetime of the said Thomas from Easter 1 Edward III [1327] for 8 years freely, for a certain sum of money given to the grantor, and after the said 8 years, for the annual rent of 10 shillings payable at the usual terms in Coventr'. Witnesses: Roger le Heyr, Geoffrey de Whiteley, Thomas de Barwe, Thomas de Merston' of Styvechale and others. Seal on tag; circular, white. A stag?; legend obscure.
