Description

Lease with warranty from Joylinus de Stivechale to Richard de Essceby in Coventr', merchant, of half a virgate of meadow which he had in the separable (partibili) meadow of Stivechale lying between Lowemulne and the bridge of Bathekynton'; to hold of the said Joylinus from Michaelmas 21 Edward son of Henry [1293] for 6 years with free entry and exit to pasture cattle after the hay of the meadow has been cut; and should Joylinus wish to sell the land within the said term or lease it for a longer term, then the said Richard shall have the first choice of the same; and for this he gives 15 shillings. Witnesses: Adam de Okes of Wytele, Geoffrey son of Ralph of the same, Adam Myle of the same, William Davy of the same, Adam Russel of Coventr', Ranulph le Prestes, of Stivechale, John de Cannele of the same and others. Seal on tag; oval, white; damaged and defaced.
