Copy of a record of proceedings in the Court of Exchequer, dated Michaelmas Term, 1 and 2 Philip and Mary, in which William Hygham `unius valeit garde' of the King and John Foote of Braynforde Parva, co. Middx., yeoman, on 9 October, alleged that Richard Baldewen of Allesley, clerk, in contravention of the Act of Parliament of 5 and 6 Edward VI against usury, loaned to Henry Over of Coventr' on 10 October last, 40 pounds to be repaid on 9 October next following, and that Richard Baldewen had received, on the said 9 October, 40 pounds in usury in respect of the said loan. Richard Baldewen denied the charge.
