Description

Lease from Arthur Gregory of Styvechale, esq., to Thomas Vale of Kyngshull, husbandman, and Thomas his son, of all that messuage in the occupation of the said Thomas situate in Kyngshull with a garden, orchard, and croft adjoining and a moiety of the great field called the Brucke Feilde containing one hundred acres lying between the town towards the north and Rabbe Crofte Mylnes and the pool and brook there towards the south, with common of pasture in Armeley, Dalle, Grymswood, Forwood and Sevenhookes (except all timber upon the same); to hold the same for the life of Thomas Vale the elder and after his death, to his son Thomas for 21 years, rendering annually during the life of Thomas Vale the elder 18 shillings and thereafter 2 pounds, and paying a heriot when due, and suit of court at the manor place of Kyngshull.
