Description

Letter, dated at Birbury near Dunchurch, from Henry Homer to `Revd. Sir' concerning a discussion which he had had with Mr. Gregory over a dispute with Christ's College, Cambridge. He relates how misunderstandings had arisen between Arthur Gregory and the College over the latter's property in Stivichall since the Inclosure, when an exchange of land had been effected between the said parties. The College appears to be laying claim to land on which Arthur Gregory had erected some of his new buildings, but Homer, after weighing the evidence, believes they are mistaken. [For the previous lease see no. 940].
