Legal cases - Gregory family

Description

Attested copy of the answer of Edmund Gregorie, gent., to the bill of complaint of John Bott; that, to the best of his knowledge, the statute in question was acknowledged for the benefit of himself and his brothers whilst they were infants, and that its validity had been upheld in previous cases against Edward Marbery, whose estate the said John Bott claims, and others; that the said plaintiff has no reason to proceed against the defendant concerning Hill Farm because the said Edmund had notified him beforehand of the determination of the said extent by the decree of this court in a suit of Jane Gregory, now one of the other defendants.
