Description

Lease from Arthur Gregorye of Styvechale, esq., to Symon Yeate of Rabbe Crofte under Kingeshull in the parish of Stonley, yeoman, for 40 shillings, of a messuage late in the tenure of Thomas Pype and now of John Griffyn situate in Rabbe Crofte under Kyngeshull, with a cornmill, two walk-mills, flood gates, `Tayntors' and all manner of housings, edifices, buildings, orchards, water and watercourses, etc. thereunto belonging, together with a close called Bawdewyns grove in the lordship of Kingeshull, one other little close or pingle called Little Forwoode, and all the profits of lop and shred of all the woods growing upon the brinks of the water of Armeley Heath side from Wolsey Bridge to Porte Bridge, with free fishing of the pool etc. and the commons appertaining to the said messuage due `accordinge to the rate of a mese place from Stonley towne to Crulefeilde'; to hold the same for 21 years, rendering annually 10 pounds, a heriot when due and suit of court yearly at the manor place of Kingeshull, alias Helinhull; and the said Arthur may keep an eyrie of swans on the said water, free from all hurt.
