Description

Lease from John Wade of Coventre, mercer, to William Phynnes of the same, mercer, (to ensure proper recompense to the said William Phynnes for the sums of £9. 7s. 0d., 40 pounds and 40 pounds, by which he stands severally bound on behalf of the said John Wade to Sir Thomas White, knight and alderman of London, Richard Rake of Allesley, gent., and Thomas Hill of Kingshill, yeoman) of the manor or capital messuage called Waburleys with all its appurtenances, now in the tenure of the said John Wade, lying in Waburleys and Fletchamstede; to hold the same from the feast of the Annunciation next ensuing for 40 years, rendering annually 5 pounds (2 terms), with the obligation to maintain the said property with timber provided by the said John Wade; with the proviso that the said lease shall only take effect should the said John Wade make default in the payment of the said sums.
