The first, paginated 1 to 229, is a cartulary, apparently begun by Thomas Gregory and continued by Arthur Gregory from their own records. Pages 1 to 104 mainly concern Stivichall and comprise copies of deeds and extents with other memoranda and notes. Pages 105 to 128 are notes and extents of Stoneleigh with its hamlets (except Kingshill) derived from the Stoneleigh Leger Book [see also no. 1457]. Pages 128 to 210 consist of copies of deeds and evidences mainly relating to Kingshill. The section ends with miscellaneous material including a copy of the will of Thomas Gregory.
