Description

Lease with warranty from Geoffrey Segrave of Skaldeforde to John Stedman of Segrave and Margaret his wife of a toft called Chase Thynge in Segrafe, with its lands and meadows, etc.; to hold for life, paying annually 2 pence on the feast of St. John the Baptist and rendering to the chief lord the customary services; and on the death of the said John and Margaret the said toft shall revert to the said Geoffrey. Witnesses: Thomas Hynkeley rector of Segrave, John Parys, Hugh Jonson, Thomas Walkar, William Waren and many others. Dated at Segrave, 25 April, 30 Henry VI Seal on tongue: circular, red; armorial.
