Description

A certified extract from the survey of the lands late belonging to Stoneleigh Abbey, concerning the annual value of a fulling mill called le Walkemille, erected within a croft called Rabcrofte, and of a grove called Bawedewyns Grove, within the lordship of Stonley, on lease from the Abbey to Thomas Pype by virtue of an indenture of 25 March, 13 Henry VIII [no. 997] for 50 years at an annual rent of £4. 10s. 0d. Valuation headed `Parcella possessionum nuper monasterii de Stoneley in Com' Warr' suppressi'. The annual value of Stoneley is given as 30 pounds and more and the mill is said not to be near any of the king's property. Certified as a true copy by Edmund Twynyho.
