Description

Lease with warranty from Thomas de Bekeryng to Thomas de Laxton and Alice his wife of a messuage and thirty acres of land in Tuxford', which William Leef once held, and of a messuage at the western end of Tuxford' and two bovates of land with appurtenances which Nicholas Cussyng once held; to hold of the said Thomas Bekeryng from the feast of St. Michael next ensuing for a term of 40 years, paying annually £2. 12s. 8d. (2 terms); and the said Thomas de Laxton is to make annually two appearances at the court of Thomas de Bekeryng in Tuxford' and to maintain the said premises at his own expense. Witnesses: John de Tuxford', John de Basyngham, Henry Godres, William de Laxton, Richard de Laxton and others. Dated at Laxton on the feast of the Holy Trinity, 20 Richard II. Tag, seal lost.
