Description

Bargain and sale from William Dawes of Brinckloe yeoman, and Thomas Dawes his son and heir apparent, to John Fretter of Withybrooke shepherd, in consideration of £30 paid by Abraham Fretter of Payleton husbandman, of a messuage with half an acre of land in Brincklowe late in the occupation of Audrey Wale widow, then of William Dawes and now of the said George (sic) Fretter; to hold to the said John free from all encumbrances save the mortgage of the property by an indenture of 30 August, 8 James I [1610] from William Dawes deceased father of William Dawes party hereto, to Thomas Awdley of London gent., for the term of 100 years, which term is now vested in Abraham Fretter.
