Description

Order by George Digbie, esq., sheriff, to William Page and Edward Yate, his bailiffs errant, to bring Sybil Foxall, late of Coventr', widow, before the Justices at Westminster in the octave of St. Michael to answer for the sum of 20 pounds claimed against her by Arthur Gregorye and also 40 shillings for his losses. Dated: 9 July, 23 Elizabeth. Signed by John Cowper, under sheriff. Official seal, papered. Endorsed with the reply of the bailiffs errant that the following persons procured Sybil Foxall's escape ([eam] rescusserunt), viz. William Herman' of Flechamstead, gent. ----- Harman, of the same place, ---- wife of Henry Spencer of Canley, taylor and ----- wife of Henry Pryce of Fletchamstead, husbandman.
