Description

Gift with warranty from John, canon of the church of the Blessed Mary of Warrewyk', with the assent of the chapter of the same, to Robert de Merton' of a plot of land in the high market of Warr', which Sabina, once the wife of Gregory le Parmunter bequeathed to the said church; which land lies between that which William son of Richard held, and that which was of Alan de Morcote, reaching in length from the high market where fish is sold to the land which Hugh le Vncter held; to hold to the said Robert, with freedom to sell or devise the same, paying annually to the said chapter 12 pence (2 terms) and 4 pence to the earl on the feast of the Blessed Mary; and for this the said Robert gives 5 shillings. Witnesses: William le Norreys, constable of Warr', Robert le Hore, Nicholas Basset, Thomas Pauy, William le Tywee, Gerard Toht, Jordan Cristofre and others. Seal on tag: oval, green.
