Some curious entries are given here as to the employment of the monies received in these mulets, e.g., gave to an owld man to ridde the towne of him, vj.d ; gave to Belowmee to redeem his shirt, viij.d; paid for two calfskins and three sheepskins to make Bellowmee a pair of breeches, and the making thereof, v.s. vj.d. Amongst the monies received for defaults, Mr. Quiny [Quiney] is marked for swearing l.s. and Mr. Arthur Atwood for playing of shulaborde, l.8. 4d. ; Mr. Quiny again for suffering townsmen to tipple in his house, l.8. 6d
