Description

Quitclaim with warranty from John Wildegris of Coventr', merchant, to John Saunders of Coventr', capper, and Laurence Clerk of Stonley, yeoman, and their heirs, of all his right in those lands, tenements and other hereditaments in Stonley which were formerly held by John Wildegris together with John Baker, and Richard Bowiar, chaplains, now deceased, by the feoffment of Thomas Stretton', esq., and of which land the said John Saunders and Lawrence Clerk were enfeoffed by the said John Wildegris on 31 August, 9 Henry VII [no. 989]. Witnesses: John Boteler, writer of the deed, John Wotton', gent., William Huet and others. Dated at Coventr', 6 September 9 Henry VII, Thomas Chircheman being Mayor and Thomas Bonde and John Hadon', bailiffs of the same. Seal on tag: brown, broken. A merchant's mark. Endorsed: Wyllegrese
