Legal cases - Gregory family

Description

Two drafts in the hand of Arthur Gregory of his replies to interrogatories; that the tenement in Flechamsted came to Henry VIII on the dissolution of the monastery of Stonly, and that he granted the same with other lands by letters patent to Thomas Gregory and John Wayd to hold in chief; that they were seised of the property in fee simple; that he know of no partition of the said lands; that he has entered into no bargains or covenants with John Tallantes or Francis Tallantes, nor have they conveyed the property to him, because long before the said tenement came into the possession of John Tallantes it had been assured to another.
