Copy probate of the will, dated 1 December 1738, of George Bird of Alcester, cooper, with minor pecuniary legacies to family members and bequeathing to his wife, Mary Bird, premises in Welford purchased of John Holtham and in the tenure of Richard Jellfes, a house in Bridge Street in the tenure of Thomas Price, and a house in Chapel Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, in the tenure of Mrs Coleman.
