Description

Grant with warranty from John de Moubray, lord of the Isle of Haxholme, and of the men of Brymbre and of Gouher, to John de Bedeford', citizen and skinner (pelsiter) of Loundres, for services rendered, of the wardship and marriage of John, son and heir of Sir Robert Deyvill', deceased, together with all the lands and tenements which he held of the grantor and which are in his hands by virtue of the minority of the said John de Deyvill', except the pensions and advowsons of the churches; to hold the said wardship together with reversions of land which he (John de Deyvill') holds and which are held of the grantor, until the said John de Deyvill' comes of age; and should he die before coming of age, then the said John de Bedeford to have the wardship of the next heir. Dated at Hawnes, Tuesday before the feast of St. Philip and St. James, 12 Edward III. Seal on tag; circular, red; damaged. Legend: --------- BEFORDE.
