Legal cases - Gregory family

Copy of an order in Chancery, dated 21 May, 7 Charles I, in the case between Simon Chambers, plaintiff, and John Gregory, defendant. Whereas it appears from the affidavit of Mathew Wingfeild that the defendant has two witnesses, Ralph Graye and Mary Gregory, widow, who could not be examined because they live near London, and the commission was executed at Coventrye, it is ordered that the defendant shall have until the first day of the following term to examine the said witnesses.
