Copy of a bargain and sale dated 27 April 1822 by the Commissioners in the bankruptcy of Thomas Sanders of Stratford upon Avon, coal merchant and wharfinger, dealer and chapman, to Samuel Taylor of Combroke, schoolmaster, and Thomas Ashwin of Stratford, draper, assignees of Thomas Sanders' estate, of the freehold messuage with the out offices, bark barn, drying sheds, tan yards and tan pits in the Moore Townsend or Greenhill Street with the garden belonging, the stable with the garden behind the cottages thereafter mentioned, the 7 cottages with the garden behind on the W. or N.W. side of Windsor Street otherwise Hell Lane [Henley Lane/Windsor Street], in the several occupations of John Boulton, Richard Handy, Robert Nicholls, William West, John Smith, William Penn and William Barnacle, the greater part of a close at the back of the said cottages in the occupation of William Such, gardener, the 2 cottages in Hell Lane in the occupation of Thomas Hewson and William Ainge, and the 2 cottages in Windsor Street in the occupation of John Hardy and Sarah Knight, of all of which Thomas Sanders was seized or otherwise interested at the time he became a bankrupt.
