Conveyance from John Paget of the Middle Temple, City of London, barrister at law, and William Harcourt Clare of Twycross, co. Leics., gentleman, to Edgar Flower of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, for £2500, of a messuage, dovecote, stables, etc. with a small paddock in front of the same, containing 1a, 3r, 37p., bounded on the east by Rother Street and the west by Back Lane, and a close containing 6a 0r 13p in Old Stratford opposite the said stables, bounded on the north by land purchased by Edward Fordham Flower, on the east by Back Lane, on the south by land of William Baldwin and on the west by the Great Western Railway. With the following recitals: i) will of Thomas Mason of Stratford-upon-Avon, 19 July 1847, bequeathing all his real and personal estate to his sister Martha Mason for life, and after her death, to trustees (Thomas Tertius Paget and John Paget) for sale ii) death of Martha Mason, 16 October 1856 iii) codicil to the said will, 22 March 1866, appointing William Harcout Clare a trustee in the place of Thomas Tertius Paget iv) death of Thomas Mason, 28 May 1867, and probate of will, 2 September 1867.
