26 Ely Street, Stratford-upon-Avon

Description

Assignment from Ann Smith of Chipping Norton, co. Oxon., widow and executrix of Giles Smith late of Admington, yeoman, to John Rowden Westbury of Stratford-upon-Avon, schoolmaster, reciting DR316/5 and 6, for £120, of a piece of land at the top and on the south of Ely Street, for some years past converted into a garden, late in the tenure of William Eaves, gentleman, since of John Lord and now of John Westbury, bounded on part of the west by gardens belonging to three messuages, the estate of John Westbury and purchased by him of the said Ann Smith, on the remaining part of the west by Rother Street, on the north by Ely Street, on the east by a messuage of John Westbury purchased of Charles Floyer, and on the south by an orchard, late belonging to Charles Ingram, and now to Richard Wyatt, attorney-at-law; on which land lately stood a messuage divided into three tenements; to hold the same for the residue of a term of 1000 years.
