Will of Thomas Sheldon of Stratford-upon-Avon, grocer, dated 26 November 1825, bequeathing to his son, Thomas Chapman Sheldon the following: i) leasehold messuage in Henley Street belonging to the Corporation of Stratford-upon-Avon, known by the name of the George and Dragon and in the tenure of William Mills ii) leasehold messuage in Rother Street belonging to the Corporation of Stratford-upon-Avon and now in the tenure of John Mills iii) freehold messuage in Swine Street [Ely Street] purchased from Henry Homer and late in the tenure of Mrs. Devonshire iv) freehold land in Bretforton, co. Worcestershire, the inheritance of his mother and in the occupation of William Butler v) freehold land in Old Stratford adjoining the Stratford-Alcester Turnpike Road now in his own occupation, part of which his late father purchased from Charles Henry Hunt and part of which he (the testator) purchased from the Morris's. vi) freehold messuage in High Street in his own occupation which he inherited from his father, Thomas Sheldon vii) freehold messuage in Swine Street in the occupation of William Thompson which he bought from Thomas Lewis viii) freehold land on the west side of Meer Pool Lane lately occupied by William Bennett and five other freehold cottages in Meer Pool Lane and Henley Street now in the several tenures of ... Parkinson, ... West, .... Taylor, .... Griffin and .... Clark, all which he purchased from William Hemmings ix) freehold stabling, coach house, granary and brewhouse in Rother Street in the occupation of John Mills
