Abstract of title of Mrs. Catherine Chamberlain Freeman to a house in Sheep Street and five cottages in Emms Court, reciting as follows: i) 7 March 1850: mortgage from Edmund Emms of Clopton, farmer, to John Tasker of Stratford-upon-Avon, auctioneer, and John Lacy of Kidderminster, (acting as trustees of the marriage settlement of John Simpson and Elizabeth Tasker, 6 February 1849), of a tenement in Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, late in the tenure of Joseph Gill and then of Joseph Harrison, with a gateway to the west and a piece of land at the rear on which four cottages had been erected, in the tenures of John Bull, George Ward, Stephen Prior and ----; to secure £300. ii) 20 September 1850: mortgage from Edmund Emms to the parties as above and to Thomas Emms of premises as above to secure an additional £450. iii) 5 October 1869: assignment from Thomas Emms to John Wesson of Stratford-upon-Avon, yeoman, of his share of the second mortgage as above. iv) 25 April 1879: mortgage from Edmund Emms to Thomas Slatter of Salford Priors, gent., of all the above premises together with another messuage built by John Emms at the rear of no.12 Sheep Street, now in the tenure of --- Hastings; to secure £200. v) 7 October 1881: further charge between the last-mentioned parties to secure an additional £100. vi) 10 May 1882: assignment from the various mortgagees as above, with the consent of Edmund Emms, to Catherine Chamberlain Freeman of Leamington Priors, widow, of a house in Sheep Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, late in the tenure of Joseph Harrison and then of J. Seeney, senior, together with four cottages at the rear, formerly in the tenure of --- Davis, --- Warde, --- Poraine, and --- Wells, and then of William Davis, Mrs. Braine, George Wells and Charles Evetts; and a fifth cottage late in the tenure of --- Hastings, and then of J. Seeney, junior. vii) 10 May 1882: further charge from Edmund Emms to Mrs. C. C. Freeman to secure an additional £73.
