Draft will of Joseph Smith, Old Pasture Farm, Hampton Lucy, farmer. Trustees: Samuel Roberts, Warwick, druggist, William Clarke, Wellesbourne, farmer. All real, personal and farming stock (including two messuages in Hampton Lucy in the occupation of Thomas Jeffs Sabin and one now untenanted, formerly occupied by Aunt Pritchard), to trustees IN TRUST to sell and pay legacies. £100 to aunt Elizabeth Barran of Alveston Pasture, widow. £100 to aunt Hannah Grimes, wife of George. £200 to housekeeper Julia Clarke. £19 19a.0d to friend Thomas Foster, Hampton Lucy, surgeon. £50 to John Allday, Knowle, butcher. £100 each to trustees. £19 19s.0d to William Hortin, Mickleton, victualler. £100 to Frances Jackson, daughter of Thomas, Alveston Pastures at age 21. £100 to John Roberts, son of Samuel, at age 21. £10 to Thomas Mills, son of Samuel, Stratford-upon-Avon, surgeon, at age 21. £5 each to workmen, William Smith, Stephen Phipps, William Phipps and Joseph Garner. To James Pritchard, Stratford-upon-Avon, surgeon: silver cream jug, coffee pot and stand; writes off debt of £100. To Sarah Ann Roberts, daughter of Samuel; best china with tea caddy and spoons. Interest on £600 to Elizabeth Jackson, wife of Thomas, Alveston Pastures, for life, then principal equally among her surviving children. Directs Trustees to continue to pay £20 annuity to William Warren, brother of his late wife, for which he entered into a bond. After death of Warren, principal to be divided among children of Richard Hawkes of Hunscote, Charlecote, farmer. Residue between children of aunts Hannah Grimes, Sarah Wheeler, deceased and Aunt --- Barran, deceased (except James Barran, Stratford-upon-Avon, gent.) and of late uncles Benjamin Smith, Kenilworth, John Smith, Rugby, miller, Thomas Smith, Coventry and Joseph Smith, farmer, all deceased. Also children of Thomas Cummins, Ashorne, farmer, Thomas Moulton, Northants., farmer, Richard Hawkes, Unscote, farmer, and Mary Alice Waren, daughter of Joseph, Oxford, cabinet maker.
