Description
History and Antiquities of Stratford-upon-Avon by R.B. Wheler 1806.
The printed text pasted down in a large folio volume, and illustrated by the author with a large number of engraved views, portraits, etc. and the original drawings made by him for the work, to which is added Thomas Fisher's Series of paintings in fresco... at Stratford upon Avon, 1836.
Among the insertions are:
On f. 1v is pasted a photograph of a silhouette portrait of R.B. Wheler `aged about 30'.
The Garrick handkerchief is now part of the museum collection and should always be ordered in advance if required for consultation.
