Description
Volume VIII `An Account of the Jubilee celebrated at Stratford-upon-Avon in honour of Shakspeare, 1769.... collected and arranged from different authorities' by Captain James Saunders, 1813. Including words and music of the ode, songs, etc.
A second copy if at f. 110, with preface dated 10 Apr 1813. At f. 103 is a copy of `Songs, chorusses etc. as they are performed in the New Entertainment of Harlequin's Jubilee at the Theatre Royal in Covent Garden', London, 1770; and at the end, among other matter, are copies of songs by J. Bisset at the Shakespeare Banquet, 1830 (ff. 175v, 177v, 178v) Interspersed with water-colour views, including New Place (f.6); White Lion Inn (f. 7); house occupied by Garrick (f. 15v); the Old College (f. 20v); the Bancroft (f. 21); the Town Hall (f. 25); the Church (f. 31); the Birthplace (f.40); the Bridge from the Bancroft (f. 87v)
