Copy of an order in Chancery in the case between Simon Chambers, plaintiff, and John Gregory, Margaret his wife and Edward Waste, defendants;, dated 4 November, 7 Charles I. Whereas in accordance with an order in Chancery of 2 July [no. DR10/1697] costs in favour of John Gregorie were assessed at 15 pounds by Sir Edward Salter, at 4 pounds by Sir Robert Rich and at 40 shillings by the six clerks, of which the plaintiff, Simon Chambers, has already paid to the defendant the said 40 shillings, and whereas an allegation has been made by the plaintiff that sufficient evidence can be produced to discharge him of the remaining costs, it is ordered that proceedings should be stayed against the plaintiff for non-payment, until the evidence be heard.
