Ettington deeds

Description

Settlement being a conveyance by lease and release from Thomas Sly of Ettington [Eatington] woolcomber to Robert Davies of Farnborough yeoman, for £30 paid to the said Thomas by William Sly his son and heir apparent, of a messuage in Over Ettington [Eatington] in the possession of the said Thomas Sly, one quarter of a yardland and one half of a yardland in Over Ettington [Eatington] late in the tenure of Margery Croftes widow, Henry Field and Robert Dickens, and now of the said Thomas Sly and Anthony Parker, and which were lately purchased by William Sly, deceased, father of the said Thomas Sly, from Edward Underhill, esquire, and Mary his wife; to hold to the said Robert Davies, as to one half part of the said half yardland (field names) in trust for William Sly, and as to the remainder of the premises in trust for Thomas Sly for life, with remainder to Elizabeth his wife and the said William Sly.
