Description

Conveyance from Henry Thomas Chamberlayne of Stoney Thorpe Priory esq., and Thomas Heath of Warwick gentleman, with the consent of William Crowther Umbers of Wolverhampton in the county of Staffordshire, gentleman, son and heir of Thomas Umbers, late of Stratford-upon-Avon, deceased, to John Lane of Stratford-upon-Avon, gentleman, reciting DR231/7-8, DR231/9, DR231/10 and DR231/11 and two indentures of 11 December 1860 (recited in DR231/12) for £1210, of a messuage called Cambridge House with the yard etc. in Old Town in the parish of Old Stratford and the borough of Stratford-upon-Avon, now in the occupation of Reverend John George Rablah Stephenson and late of Reverend Henry Valentine Scriven. Of the purchase money, £800 is retained by the said John Lane being the sum still owing under a mortgage of 5 September 1843 (DR231/9)
