Letter from W[illiam Frederick] Willes Atty [ensign serving in the 31st Huntingdonshire Regiment of Foot], Agra, India, to his sister, Augusta [Jeans] Atty, 'Ingon Hall, Stratford-on-Avon', mostly recounting regimental life in India but mentioning the 'melancholy ending of [his sister Hannah] Lucy's affair', and asking for his love to be given to 'that little dark-eyed beauty Miss King'. The writer, brother of Robert James Atty of Ingon Grange, died unmarried in India in 1846, aged 23.
