Perkins' Educational Trust
Description
Perkins' Educational Trust: minute book of the trustees. This charity was established by William Perkins in December 1656, whereby income from premises in Sheep Street and Church Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, was to be applied to the maintenance of a free grammar school in Salford Priors. By the early twentieth century, the school was no longer in existence and the income, under a new scheme, was used in the form of scholarships, bursaries and grants for the educational benefit of children and young people resident in Salford Priors or neighbouring parishes.
