Description

Gift with warranty, c1250, from Robert de Hernesforde to Henry his son of a messuage in Hernesforde which John de Corssforde once held of him, with all the arable land which the same John held together with the headlands adjoining the said land; also four selions lying in a croft opposite the said messuage with the dyke running along its length, and with the headlands adjoining six selions, and with the lesser part of the field of Linethmedue which lies next to the acre of St Mary; to hold to the said Henry, (or to any assign that he should wish except a religious house) for life paying annually 1 penny at the Nativity. Witnesses: Andrew de Bilney, Thomas son of John de Braycote, Elya de Hulle, Walter his brother, Robert Pape, Richard son of Stephen de Rutone, Adam de Quertis de Wythel' and others.
