Description

Lease and release, the release being a conveyance, from William Jeays of Brinklow tailor, and Margaret his wife, to Susannah Stonely of Brinklow widow, for £24, of a messuage or cottage with a bay of barning in Brinklow, late in the occupation of William Hancox and adjoining the cottage where the said William Jeays now lives, with the use of the well in the latter's yard, but reserving to the said William a right of way through the yard belonging to the premises conveyed to the said Susannah. Signed: William Jeayes, Margaret Jeayes. Two tags with red seals applied. Witnesses: Horatio Coakley, Robert Verity, H. Wall. Endorsed: 164) memorandum that the said Susannah has agreed to pay 2 1/2 d as her proportion of chief rent, 2d as her proportion of the Poor's Levy, and half of all the taxes imposed on the said William Jeays and the conveyed premises; same witnesses.
